"UPBOND Wallet" Now Supports "JPYC EX" Wallet Connection; Available Without Any Prior Wallet Setup
UPBOND, Inc. is pleased to announce that its “UPBOND Wallet” has been added as a supported wallet for “JPYC EX,” the issuance and redemption service for the Japanese yen stablecoin “JPYC” operated by JPYC, Inc.
Previously, users had to set up a wallet in advance to use JPYC EX. With this update, even users who do not have a wallet can create and register one on the spot by simply selecting “UPBOND” on the JPYC EX login screen and logging in with either Google, LINE, or an email address. The wallet you create can be used on all networks supported by JPYC.
Background: Preparing a Wallet as the “First Step” Toward Stablecoins
To receive JPYC, you need your own wallet. With typical wallets, you’re required to install an app or write down and store a recovery phrase to restore your private key, which has been an initial hurdle for beginners.
UPBOND Wallet is a wallet that you can use simply by logging in with your everyday accounts, such as Google, LINE, or an email address. Since you can create a wallet as part of the JPYC EX sign-up process, you can set up your wallet and start using JPYC all at once.

To All Business Partners: As a wallet for services that integrate JPYC
UPBOND Wallet is designed to be integrated into various applications as an authentication platform, and this mechanism is also used by JPYC EX. As an embedded wallet SDK, it can be integrated into your own service in as little as five minutes through three simple steps: obtaining an API key, installing the NPM package, and implementing the React snippet. Businesses launching services using JPYC can have users set up their wallets directly within their own login process.

Statement from the Representative
Shun Mizuoka, Representative Director, UPBOND Co., Ltd.
"For those interested in trying out a Japanese yen stablecoin, the first hurdle was setting up a wallet. The UPBOND Wallet was developed with the goal of making users 'forget they’re using a wallet.' Simply log in with your existing Google or LINE account, and you’ll have a wallet that you can manage yourself. Through this integration with JPYC EX, we aim to encourage more people to start using JPYC, while also providing technical support to businesses looking to incorporate JPYC into their own services."
