What Is Web3 Regicard?
Web3 Regicard is a self-check-in solution that leverages DID/VC (Decentralized ID and Verifiable Credentials) technology. Guests can securely pre-register their passport information on their smartphones before arrival, minimizing the check-in process at the front desk. It features self-sovereign data management, allowing guests to choose which information to disclose.
Background of the Initiative
Following its full-scale launch at 27 “MIMARU” apartment hotels, Web3 Regicard has now begun operations at APA Hotels. We will continue to contribute to meeting the growing demand from international travelers through multilingual support and to improving the efficiency of front desk operations in response to labor shortages in the hospitality industry.
We will continue to expand the number of participating facilities to create new lodging experiences centered on each traveler’s digital ID.
