UPBOND has completed a funding round led by Cosmos Initia Co., Ltd. (part of the Daiwa House Group).
Purpose of Fundraising
The two companies will work together to develop a travel experience platform for inbound tourists using the decentralized ID authentication system “Login 3.0.” Building on the 2024 pilot test of NFT membership cards and luggage services at the MIMARU Apartment Hotel, they aim to create a seamless travel experience that incorporates pre-check-in, transportation reservations, and NFT community features.
Future Developments
The funds raised will be used to accelerate the development of a platform targeting Japan’s inbound tourism market and to explore expansion into other business areas.
