UPBOND OBTAINS INTERNATIONAL STANDARD CERTIFICATION FOR INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ISMS)

　(Representative Director: Shun Mizuoka, hereinafter referred to as UPBOND inc.) is pleased to announce that it has acquired certification under the international standard ZISO/IEC 27001:2013, a third-party certification standard for information security management systems (ISMS), as of August 17, 2021.

BACKGROUND OF ▍ISMS ACQUISITION

　UPBOND inc. has been promoting the OMO and omni-channelization of toC manufacturers. UPBOND Inc. has been promoting OMO and omni-channel for toC manufacturers by developing three services: "UPBOND Identity" and "UPBOND Connect," which unify customer authentication infrastructure and centralized customer information management (CIAM), and "UPBOND Communication," which analyzes customer information and provides optimal customer experiences for each individual customer. We are working to grow the business of "toC" manufacturers and improve customer contact points.

　IN THE PROCESS OF PROMOTING THESE BUSINESSES, UPBOND HAS BEEN WORKING TO STRENGTHEN ITS INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AGAINST THE BACKDROP OF THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE GDPR, WHICH IS REQUIRED WHEN DOING BUSINESS WITH EU COUNTRIES, AND THE REVISION OF THE PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTION LAW, WHICH WILL COME INTO EFFECT IN APRIL 2022.

AS A RESULT, WE HAVE ACQUIRED ISO/IEC27001:2013 CERTIFICATION, AN INTERNATIONAL STANDARD, IN ORDER TO EARN THE TRUST OF ALL OUR STAKEHOLDERS.

　UPBOND WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE AND CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE ITS INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND STRIVE TO PROVIDE SERVICES THAT CAN OFFER AN OPTIMAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND EARN THE TRUST OF CUSTOMERS IN A CLIMATE WHERE CUSTOMER CONTACT POINTS ARE BECOMING INCREASINGLY RARE.
